Jon Mondey

20 year old Jon is from Portsmouth and got involved in sailing three years ago when he was fortunate enough to take part in the tour of Europe trip organised by the MTA.
 
At the moment, he works as a sales assistant in a big department store in Southsea, and he’s enjoying working as part of the team now he’s got to know his co-workers. When he’s not working he’s into sports – particularly football and now sailing.
 
Jon hopes and plans that the Raymarine Lively Lady Project will allow him to develop his sailing skills. He is determined to push himself harder to realise his own goals of becoming a sailing instructor and demonstrate that anyone can achieve their goals if they stick at it.
 
Jon has admitted to finding it hard to find the necessary time to attend all the fund raising activities and put this down to the fact that he likes to spend time observing people before he gets to know them. Now he has got to know all the team he has pushed himself hard to get to where he is today.
