Ella Kilford

Ella Kilford is 17 and comes from North End. She is currently a pupil at St Edmund's School in Portsmouth.

Through working with the project she feels she has learnt how teamwork is really important and that if you put your mind to anything you can do it.

Before starting on the Raymarine Lively Lady Project Ella had done some sailing with the Meridian Trust Association - she really enjoyed that, which is one of the reasons she was so keen to be part of this project.

On her leg, Ella is most looking forward to visiting new places and gaining a better sailing knowledge and experience.

Working with the project has taught her that if you work hard you can get to where you want to be. That's something she plans to take with her for the future as she hopes to go to South Downs College to study law.
