I originally completed a technician shipwright apprenticeship in Portsmouth Naval Base. Numerous job changes later I found myself undertaking sea trials for new construction warships after build and following refits.

Looking for a slower pace at sea, I saw an advert at work for volunteers to help out crewing yachts for Portsmouth Kids Afloat in their summer holidays. After two summer seasons, I ended up assisting
on the yacht Bulldog, on a trip to Norway.

I own a small yacht that is moored in Portsmouth Harbour and sail mainly in the Solent and I'm looking forward to my trip on Lively Lady, from Malta to Alicante.
